four star show, butthe Let it Grow really rings true! Best version of that song that I have heard. Jerry really gets rippin' and boy do his notes flow! "And listen to the thunder shout "I Am!!!""

this is an amazing concert.my 4th dead show.little did i realize what i was seeing.this show is hot."LET IT GROW" really gets jerry and bob, going and then "THE EYES" is simply just beautiful.during "BLACK PETER" i am going "wow" and just having a meltdown.jerry is just blowing away everyone at the end of this blazing song. So the next day we were off to Bloomington,In.indiana university to catch their next show.what a long strange trip it was and we all enjoyed the ride.this aud. is pretty damn good and gets better as the show goes on.it really catches the crowd getting into it as the band really starts to heat up. thank you steve and dave for this great "77" show.

Subject: More that 5 Stars
Like the guitar in Spinal Tap that went to "11", I wish I could give this show more than 5 stars. Jerry is completely locked-in the whole time, and the second set is sick, sick, sick. It contains my all-time favorite version of Bertha, as well as awesome performances of Eyes, St. Stephen and an amazing Black Peter. While not as famous as some others, this is undoubtedly one of the very best 77's (seriously) and well worth a listen.

Subject: Very VERY solid
This is just another night for the greatest band that ever tuned a string but that 'just another night' is by far such a monument to what perfection looks like when it's being sought after. This is also a very impressive adudience recording and that helps the four star stay a four. Well worth the download.

Subject: Sugar Mag!!
Wow - that's a slammin' Sugar Mag. Too short and the sound is only 3.5 out of 5, but that fkg rocks.....OK, I'll give it the 4th star just for effort.....

Subject: A great show
This was one of the best shows I had ever seen. It was not a Dead crowd - primarily NIU students. SHow was announced late and tickets went quickly to students. Fortunately, my brother was at NIU at the time. Very good first set. Second set absolutely smoked - audience was on its feet with the first notes of Bertha and never sat down. They absolutely rocked.

Subject: Fantastic live show, at Dekalbs Evans Fieldhouse
Being as Dekalb Illinois is my hometown, I WAS THERE! Fantastic concert right off. This recording is a great copy of what occured that night. My fave track is Jack straw. To be truthful, there really isnt a bad track that I can recall, I listen to this 3 cd concert at least once a week. Trust me, this one is a treasure. DOWNLOAD, you won't be sorry, I was there and this sounded great then, and this recording is faithful to what went down. Rest in Peace Jerry!

Subject: AUDacious
This is not the best AUD tape ever, but it comes through very well (I have a thing for 76-81 AUD tapes) and this show blazes. 2nd set is just awesome. A languid exploratory Eyes gives way to a nice textured space jam then BOOM.....
I mean, there's a little drum break between the molten Sugar Mag and SSDD. Whoa!!! This might be one of the best Sugar Mags ever!

Subject: Sound Difference
This show is great....however I prefer the sound from the other download. The .shn file is .1 smaller possibly because the tracking is slightly faster. But before you make the mistake I did and download the whole show, sample one or 2 songs from each source and decide for yourself:)

Subject: Smokes!
high charged right out of the box with one great might as well, and solid playing throughout the first set-- the jack straw is clipped near the end of the jam before the last verse but nothing to really care about because the estimated>eyes is unreal!!!!!!

highly recommend!!!! this run through the binghamton show is a great assortment of 77'

Subject: dekalb 77
had to write for this one, simply for the estimated>eyes. the estimated outro jam is sick, jerry really wailing on the wah. the eyes breaks through a little slower than most from 77, but the slower tempo gives jerry and phil plenty of room to build and build. with everyone in tow, jerry and phil play some of the most melodious lines ive ever heard. truely one of finest post 74 eyes.
